Agata Łukaszewicz-Czaban, MSc

Neurologopaedist

She specializes particularly in the diagnosis and therapy of newborns, infants, and young children with feeding difficulties (ineffective breastfeeding/bottle-feeding, feeding discoordination related to prematurity, reduced orofacial muscle tone, oral hypersensitivity).

She conducts diagnosis and therapy for tongue-tie (ankyloglossia), including in adults. She supports the treatment of orthodontic patients and patients preparing for orthognathic (double-jaw) surgery (elimination of infantile swallowing patterns, incorrect tongue resting posture, decreased/increased tension of the tongue and/or craniofacial muscles, partial paralysis after surgery, dysphagia).

She also supports patients with voice disorders (vocal nodules, dysphonia/aphonia, recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis). In her work, she pays special attention to each patient. Accurate diagnosis and the selection of appropriate techniques play a crucial role. She takes a holistic approach — assessing not only the anatomy and physiology of the speech or voice system, but also observing the patient as a whole, coordinated “system.”

She works in an interdisciplinary manner. She collaborates with, among others: orthodontists, maxillofacial surgeons, dentists, neonatologists, ENT specialists, osteopaths, physiotherapists, physical therapy specialists, midwives, lactation consultants, and psychologists. She places particular emphasis on ensuring that the patient feels well-cared-for after leaving the office.
